Synthetic Echo
Privacy
Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy covers Atrium at echo-hub.ai.
Synthetic Echo Inc (“we”) operates Atrium, a community chat and learning space. This page describes the personal information the service stores and the companies that process it. It is written for the website and for the iOS and Android apps that use the same account.
Information we store
- Account data: email address, password hash or sign-in provider identity, and display name.
- Profile and community data: the name, introduction, and picture you choose, plus memberships.
- Content you post: messages, attachments, reactions, and course activity. Messages in a shared room stay available to the other people in that room.
- Safety data: reports you file, people you block, and moderation decisions.
- Billing data: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers for paid courses and the Atrium membership. Card numbers stay with Stripe.
- Voice rooms: LiveKit session tokens so you can join a voice channel. We do not record those rooms unless a feature you turn on says that it does.
- Device data, only if you install the mobile app and allow notifications: an Expo push token and whether the device is iOS or Android.
Why we use it
We use this information to run your account, show the communities you belong to, deliver messages, process payments you start, keep shared rooms safe, and send notifications you asked for. We do not sell personal information.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores accounts, database rows, files, and realtime delivery.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Stripe processes payments.
- LiveKit provides voice rooms.
- Google and Apple, if you choose those sign-in buttons.
- Expo, if push notifications are enabled for the mobile app.
How long we keep it
We keep account and content data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove the login, profile, memberships, and other personal rows. Messages you already sent in a shared room stay in that room with the author shown as “Former member,” so the conversation other people rely on is not erased. Billing records needed for tax and refunds may remain with Stripe after the subscription is cancelled.
Children
Atrium is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can update your profile in the app, turn notification preferences off in Settings, block another member, and delete your account from Settings or from the account deletion page. Email nathan@echo-hub.ai for a copy of your personal information or any other privacy request.
